LONDON -- Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd said Thursday that its Chief Executive Officer Steve McVeigh would be returning to the Royal Dutch/Shell Group of companies in July 2004 after leading the company for three and a half years.

He will be succeeded by Ian Craig, also from Shell , the company said.

The Sakhalin Energy consortium comprises the Royal/Dutch Shell Group, Mitsui & Co. and Mitsubishi Corp.
