Royal Dutch/Shell Group unit Shell Oil has returned 89 employees to five offshore Gulf of Mexico oil and natural gas facilities and has found no damage, the company said in a notice on its Web site Friday.

Power was restored and communications were working at the five facilities: Auger, Enchilada, Brutus, Bullwinkle and ST300/301. The facilities are located off the coast of Louisiana.

Flights are scheduled Friday to bring additional production and drilling staff to remaining facilities Friday, Shell said. Further information on damage assessments and restarts wasn't available.

Shell shut it its operations in the central and eastern Gulf ahead of the storm, taking 444,800 barrels a day of oil and 1.4 billion cubic feet a day of gas off line.
