I apologise if my response did not meet my usual standards of politeness, or
clarity. Let me make the position clear:

1. All allegations previously denied continue to be denied.

2. All previous admissions continue to be admitted.

3. There was never any threat from us or anyone working on our behalf, to your
personal safety, to that of your family or to any of those connected with your
cases against us.

4. The interpretation you put on my description of the Statement of General
Business Principles is entirely your own. The quotation is accurate however,
and we stand by it.

Finally, I am prepared to make one new admission. I had forgotten that today is
your birthday. I sincerely wish you many happy returns. Despite the history of
our dealings, (and my apparent tetchiness) I wish you no ill will.
