The Star.com: Shell appoints Malaysian to key posts in China

SHELL Malaysia has appointed Lim Tau Kien, the company's corporate treasurer, as chief financial officer, and exploration and production asset finance manager for Shell China.

 

Director of finance Paul Gerla said in a statement: “China represents a huge integrated portfolio investment and market for the Royal Dutch/Shell Group. 

 

“Lim's appointment is another significant measure of the confidence and recognition the Shell Group has in Malaysian expertise, talent and diversity in taking on the challenges of operating in an increasingly competitive and global business environment. 

 

“(Lim) will join over 250 Shell Malaysians holding both executive and management positions in Shell operations around the world.”

 

Lim has been with Shell for 21 years and has worked for the company in Britain, Australia and Malaysia in various positions, including senior management accountant, information and computing project manager, and financial controller. 

 

She is also a non-independent, non-executive director of Shell Refining Company Bhd and sits on the board of various other companies, including Bukit Naga Holdings, Bukit Naga Development and Shell Treasury Malaysia (Labuan) Ltd.
