Cash and mineral water from Shell

Shell Malaysia recently contributed in cash and kind towards the victims and affected communities of the recent South Asia Earthquake.

Cash donations made by Shell staff across the company's offices, facilities and installations in Malaysia totalled over RM20,000.

As promised, the company matched this amount to round up Shell Malaysia’s cash contribution to RM40,000.

Shell Malaysia chairman Datuk Jon Chadwick presented the cheque to a Shell Pakistan employee currently assigned to Shell Malaysia, Syed Mujtaba Hussain.

The financial aid will be channelled in one direct transfer to Shell Pakistan’s Earthquake Relief Fund.

Meanwhile, the Shell Malaysia Retail Business team collected a total of 4,228 cartons of Select Mineral Water worth RM42,280 for the same cause.

Shell Malaysia Trading and Shell Timur managing director, Mohzani Wahab presented the contribution from both Shell Malaysia staff and petroleum retailers to Kulwan Singh, a senior representative of the Malaysian Red Crescent Society.

Chadwick said: “We hope that the donations of our staff, our retailers and Shell Malaysia will help to alleviate the suffering of many of the victims of this recent tragedy.

“These contributions, totalling over RM82,000 in value, demonstrate the continuing generosity and true We Care, We Share spirit of Shell Malaysia staff and our business partners,” he added.
