Forbes/AFX News Limited: Royal Dutch Shell sells Cameroon downstream ops to Chevron for undisclosed sum: Posted 1 December 2005
AMSTERDAM (AFX) - Royal Dutch Shell said it agreed to sell its downstream business in Cameroon to Chevron Corp for an undisclosed sum.
The agreement relates to Shell's retail, commercial fuel and lubricants marketing businesses and includes a network of 49 retail service stations and shareholdings in local refining, logistics and lubricants blending facilities.
The sale is expected to be completed in the first quarter of next year.
Shell noted its Exploration and Production business in Cameroon is unaffected by the divestment.
