Royal Dutch/Shell, the European energy group, will assemble its top 400 employees later this month for the first time since the oil and natural gas reserves scandal broke in January.
The meeting to be held May 25-26 at a resort near Houston is a scheduled event that takes place twice a year but it will be the first chance such a large group of Shell's leaders will have to discuss the future of the company.
"I imagine that Jeroen van der Veer [chairman] will give some indication as to what is on his mind regarding changing the governance model and that will be one of the hot topics, and people will also be looking for guidance on where the growth will come from and the strategy for more reserves," said one person familiar with Shell's thinking.
