Shell Oil is moving forward with efforts to get the state's Gas Cap Law reversed.

The company filed an appeal in Circuit Court, saying the Public Utilities Commission implemented the law despite objections from oil companies, and against the recommendations of it's own consultant.

The law puts a price cap on wholesale gas, and ties Hawaii's prices to mainland markets.

Shell says it will comply with the law, as it pursues legal action to have it repealed.
